gift ideas for less

no matter who is on your christmas list this year, a pair of socks is a safe gift idea for anyone. whether your socks are disappearing in the secret sock black hole aka. the washing machine, or wrapped in your sheets at the foot of your bed, these toasty feet garments are always in demand.

slippers... a perfect gift for the holidays! try to avoid novelty slippers:  big stuffed footballs on your feet may be funny during a football game, but while entertaining dinner guests, not so much. my puppy eats my slippers, and i don't know about you, but i'm always needing another pair.

a perfect gift for a girlfriend. she can pin a brooch to her purse, clutch, jacket, dress, etc... so versatile, and adds a touch of femininity to any outfit!

give a gift that reminds your friends and family of you. i love this buddha necklace... personalized but classy! a little touch of lbuddha wherever my loved ones go.

scarves and gloves are two gift ideas that are always relevant. both are accessories that complete an outfit and leave the wearer polished and fashionable!

these philosophy 3-in-ones have been a favorite gift of mine to give for the past three years.  if you are shopping online, sephora always has great deals on presents & shipping during holiday time. and now sephora has a vancouver location, so if you are out in vancouver, you can pick up these delicious smelling bubbles yourself!

this victoria's secret scent is the most popular, and for good reason. give the lotion, body scrub and perfume as a set for under $20! you will have a very happy recipient on your hands.

a good quality, classic shade of nail polish is a great gift idea.  for the holidays, you could give golds (like the Chanel polish above), or deep reds, greys and silvers.

candles. a great decor item, and easy to personalize, depending on who you are gifting to.  i love these skull candles - a perfect way to add some edginess to a classy room.

suburban turban

hello to my lovely readers! i realize i haven't blogged in a month. it really hit me when i had a few of you notice my lack of posting... don't want to let my lovelies down! things have been really busy in the world of LB. i've got a new job, and have been working pretty steadily. anyways, i'm back! and i want to share with you my new accessory obsession. perfect for a bad hair day, or to top off a luxe outfit for a night out...

this is a good way to slowly enter into the world of turbans, looking almost like a headband/earmuff.

just found my new favorite shop on etsy ... Leilanni Land.

leilanni is a fashion designer based in toronto. check out her etsy page, she has some amazing - and affordable! - pieces, such as leather accented leggings, and a caged elastic skirt, as well as these beautiful velvet turbans (see above). ALL are on my must have list.

men can rock this look, too!

and of course, the lovely SJP can pull off anything.
